How it all began....

I love cooking and baking! Just like my mother and grandmothers. Our receipes are handed down in the family. Plus whenever I taste something amazing I make the creator write it down in my special booklet. This not only goes for baked goods, but for many very tasty receipes. 

When I met my husband and shortly after immigrated to the US from Germany, I found bread to be quite fluffy and cake frequently covered with very sweet, colorful and messy to eat toppings. I missed the hearty breads and a variety of cakes I was used to since early childhood. So I started baking for my family and new friends and they enjoyed it a lot. Ever since there is always freshly made bread and cake in my kitchen. And there is quite a turnover! ;-)

Now I would like to bake for you, too. I deeply regret not being able to provide you with an online tasting opportunity, but maybe the pictures will inspire you to give it a try. You will not be disappointed!
